It is surprising but interesting again when my friend informed me that AZBlogTips got new PR. I could not believe this as AZBlogTips has just got PR2 since July and how could Google do this again within more than a month? But it is true and AZBlogTips is now PR3 valid!
Thanks to Pumama who has just shot me a message about this update as I did not keep an eye on this recently. This will surely improve my blog SERPs ranking in the future as Pagerank as confirmed by Matt Cutts is among 200+ factors to determine SERPs rankings in Google.
Back to my previous article on why so many bloggers lost their pagerank and some tricks to restore it, several of you have asked me about the next update and I said it would probably happen at the end of this year but I was wrong as it just happened now.
If you have been waiting for your pagerank to be updated, you can use Google toolbar to see its change now and for the future too. You can also use third party services like PRChecker.info to get your update easily. Here is mine:
AZBlogTips PR3
Many bloggers now ignore this indicator, however, frankly I must admit that Pagerank still plays an important role for internet marketers not just big websites only. Why? Your advertising price scheme will be improved and there are more advertisers coming to your sites and pay you more than a PR0 sites.
From perspective of an internet marketer, I would say that PR is still important but it is NOT all what you need for your blogging journey. The most important thing is your content at highest quality and relationships you have with your readers. You can still sell products or ad spots without PR if you maintain a good relationship with your potential advertisers.

Congratulations! My blog is on PR1 now an i hope next PR updates will bring some changes for me and my blog. I think its possible that Google will update pagerank on monthly basis in the future.
I have the same opinion as yours. There’ve been 3 PR updates in less than 2 months, we can believe PR will be updated more usually now.
Yes, but I am not sure Google will do this again soon as it is hard to know about Google schedule for PR update since Caffeine was released

I didn’t know that Google has just updated again. Last month I got PR3; when I checked page rank checker it’s still PR3. It means I need more backlinks. Thanks for the info. Congratulations on your new PR!

However, I don’t know whether this update is good or not. A blog of mine has just been established for 2 weeks got PR3. I do use some backlink strategies, but it’s incredible and i can’t believe in my eyes. I am scared of being ‘sandboxed’ by Google. What is your opinion about this issue?

I got PR 2 it was 1 for me before this update !! and i have one site which is now PR 1 and it is not one month old !!!
That is what people are not clear about Google PR system. Why a new blog has higher PR than an established one. That is a big question without answer

PR3 seems to be popular and it is not hard to get rather than PR4 and PR5+
Well your site is a PR3, so you have to be doing something right.!
But you might wanna install plugins like comluv and keywordluv, Google seems to like them.
But other than that just keep doing what you are doing now.!

I am having a strong feeling that the Google servers have gone crazy and this latest update is wrong/weird. Reason: one of my posts published on 25th July (url: http://www.incrediblogger.net/blogging/5-tips-blog-listed-google-news/) has got a PR 4 which is 100% wrong.
Any of you noticed similar thing? Or I am the only victim?

I believe that Google page rank has an effect on your serps. My 15 days old blog got Page rank-2.

This is very unlike Google, they normally wait quite a while between updates.
I was pretty shocked to see this on my new site, PR went from 0-5 in under 3 months, – and while that is an epic increase it doesn’t mean anything in the rankings, sure they have gone up a bit for me, but i’m still getting out-ranked by sites with much lower PR.
Which leads me to believe that high PR isn’t all it’s cracked upto be .. although it does look nice .. especially if you want to sell your site

No paid links at all, this was all manual, no automated programs were used – I used a combination of article marketing, blog commenting, forum marketing, social bookmarking, and also use of link wheels .. since I got the PR to 5 I have done some press releases too.

No problem! Link wheels seem to work really well especially when you add content to them every so often! I hit PR5 before I used the Press releases, so hopefully next PR update I might jump up, – well lets hope:)
