5 Tools for Marketing Your Blog or Website

Tools are not a silver bullet; they are there to save time. Everyone knows that time is money, and that’s why managing time saving tools that can maximize your SEO and SMM efforts will help you manage a busy schedule. The key to using these tools is to understand that they are just tools, you still need to put in work to get them to function properly, nothing is ever truly automated.

First up is Multi-Rank Checker. Multi-Rank checker saves you time when you are checking your rankings in the search engines and allows you to keep in depth knowledge about competitors ranks as well. All you need to do is supply the keywords and the domain names you want to look out for, yours and your competitors. Then give the tool a few seconds to do the search and view the results.

Next is the SEO analyzer by Sitening. Sitening came out with this great and free tool that analyzes your website and gives you a detailed report of what you can do to improve your site. While this tool isn’t a replacement for professional SEO analysis, it’s a good tool to use for a quick assessment.

When building backlinks you always need to know the enemy. Knowing where your enemy is getting their backlinks from is half the battle and will give you some valuable insight as to good places for you to get backlinks from. Backlink Checker over at WeBuildPages is a great tool that allows you to check both your backlinks, and your competitors. With this information, you can formulate a plan of gaining that top rank in the search engines.

Then we come to my most used SEO tool, SEO for Firefox. SEO for Firefox is an all you need toolbar for Firefox that gives detailed information on your competition right on the SERPS. You can view number of inbound links, page ranking, number of cached pages, domain age, number of .edu backlinks and a lot more. This tool is very useful for gauging how difficult a market will be to crack, as well as finding out just how optimized your opponents pages are.

And last, but certainly not least, we get to TweetDeck. TweetDeck is an app that was made for Twitter power users so they can manage everything that happens in their feed. The best feature of TweetDeck is that you can schedule tweets and monitor multiple accounts at the same time. If you plan on releasing a new product in a few days, you don’t need to remember to tweet it that day, all you need to do is set it to tweet on the day it will be ready and forget about it. When you manage multiple websites with twitter profiles, things can get hectic. This is why being able to monitor multiple accounts without signing out and in all the time is vital to your sanity.

As you can see, there are plenty of tools for you to use that can save you time. All you need to do is get out there and use them effectively as a part of your SEO strategy. Just remember not to revolve your strategy around the tool, your tool should revolve around your strategy.
