5 Ways To Boost Your Technorati Authority

Have you ever thought about increasing your blog authority? What have you done to reach this goal? Having higher authority will help your blog stand out of the crowded blogosphere. That is why we all have to try our best to do that. Technorati authority is among many other factors but important that helps you shorten the journey.

The first thing when staring a new blog, I had to think about its authority as without it, I could not do anything especially making money online. That was why I have tried a lot to boost AZBlogTips in terms of traffic, ranking (both alexa and pagerank) and branding. There are a lot of things done to reach this goal. However, Technorati authority seems the most challenging but I have achieved some positive results which are even better than older blogs.

There is 1000 scores for authority and the higher score your blog has, the higher authority your blog ranks in Technorati. However, it is also up to what category that your blog is listed and how competitive that category is.

• Technorati Authority measures a site’s standing & influence in the blogosphere. With the October 2009 redesign of technorati.com, we’ve changed the Technorati Authority calculations to better reflect the continually changing attention of the blogosphere.
• Authority is calculated based on a site’s linking behavior, categorization and other associated data over a short, finite period of time. A site’s authority may rapidly rise and fall depending on what the blogosphere is discussing at the moment, and how often a site produces content being referenced by other sites.
• The new Authority calculation differs from the past version, which measured linking behavior over a longer 6 month timeframe. Please note that links in blogrolls don’t count towards Authority, as they are not indicative of interest in relevant content; we stopped including blogroll links in August 2008.
• Authority is on a scale of 0-1000. 1000 is the highest possible authority.

1. Quality contents:

Content is very important as always! The more quality content you post, the more chances that other blogs link to your site. This is natural link building and not only Google loves it but Technorati also does the same way.

4. Contests, giveaways or freebies:

Why many bloggers are conducting contests, giveaways or freebies? They have their own purposes in doing this and you can win a great prize but in return, you have to give something back to them like backlinks in entry articles. That is an easy way to gain more backlinks that can contribute to your authority if those blogs are listed in Technorati with high authority.

5. Link exchange with high authority blogs:

Many blogs have its own blogroll on sidebar and most of them reserve this space for link exchange with friends or readers. If you can get your blog listed there (before that, check to see whether that blog is listed on Technorati with higher authority score), your blog authority will definitely get increased.
